We’re looking for a frontend engineer to help the world understand artificial intelligence through radical, inventive design. You’ll work with members across all of our teams to create systems and tools that push our research forward. For this role, we’re looking for someone who can work full-time out of our office in San Francisco.

Responsibilities

• You’ll partner with our design director to: develop visualizations and demonstrations that communicate.
• You’ll contribute to AI safety research, developing tools to help align AI and human values
• You’ll collaborate with research teams across the company to build out our public.

Helpful skills and experience

• You love to tell stories through data visualization and creative user interaction design
• You’re excited about the future of long-form content on the web and multimedia experiences.
• You appreciate the details and think carefully about things like typography and responsive layouts
• You enjoy working closely with designers and research scientists
• You’re comfortable juggling multiple projects and have a stellar track record of managing priorities.
• Your frontend skills are strong, and you're also self-sufficient on the backend.
